Item description:
Bach: Violin Concerto in E Major and Mozart: Violin Concerto no. 3 in G, K.216. Gioconda de Vito (violin) Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rafael Kubelik.
HMV ASD 429. UK pressing. Stereo. Original White-gold label (EW1), first label for this issue. Original inner sleeve.
Grading records: VG+ The record has surface wear, but it is rather light and superficial. Both sides play very well with only slight surface rustle. On side two there is a small scuff mark in the middle of the record, which gives a light tic for a minute or two. Also on side two there is small scratch in the very end of the record, which clicks for about 50 seconds. The record is certainly playable. There are no skips or jumps etc.
Grading covers: EX The cover has only very slight corner wear. The cover is completely intact. There is no edge or ring wear. There are no tears or splits, no writing or stickers etc.
This is the original and extremely rare UK first issue of de Vito's only stereo recording!

Grading:
SS: only used if the record is in fact still factory sealed (this is equal to Mint and the reason that we do not use the grading Mint).
NM (Near Mint): the record will be virtually flawless. In many cases it will not have been played at all. The cover will also appear as practically new.
EX (Excellent): the record may show minor signs of having been played (ultra light marks, ultra light scuffs etc) or simply from contact with the inner sleeve. The record may have some very slight surface hiss or rustle or a few minor tics here and there, but nothing that will affect playing and certainly no serious marks or scratches and no skips or jumps. The cover may have minor shelf wear or other slight wear from old age.
VG+ (Very Good plus): the record will be somewhat worn though still playable. There may be one or more surface scratches (most of those non-audible) or other visible wear. The cover may be somewhat worn and may have imperfections (for example light tear, stickers or sticker marks, writing on cover, etc).
NOTE: our records are inspected visually under strong light. Moreover, we play-grade practically all of them (though not from beginning to end, that would be too time-consuming) to ensure accurate grading.
