Here's a great example of a legendary 45 that nobody's seen. The song started out as "The Ho-Ho Rock And Roll" by Peter Roberts and the Sid Ramin Orchestra. Pretty dull title, eh?
The record was originaly released in 1956, then re-released in 1962 under the artist name Peter Roberts and The Cliff Dwellers. They added a new flipside to this pressing called 'Midnight In Canaveral.' This new release would have the song retitled as "Ho Ho Laughing Monster." This song would wind up on a compilation tape that got traded around and around the underground weird-rock collectors circuit and then, it would reach even more cult status when included on the Lp collection "Wavy Gravy." The bizarre song is an instrumental that's frequently punctuated with a strange (drunken? Stoned ? ) laugh and 'Ho-Ho' now and then. Weird!!
