Description: Another one of the ‘big’ DeWolfe LPs. So much sick library madness going on here, there are 9, that’s NINE great tunes on here and it’s not often you can find a library album with that kind of depth or consistency!! Kicking off with ‘The Hawk’ (as comp’ed on ‘Bite Hard’), darkly dramatic, ‘cop-show’ style with wah-wah, lots of Moog and some tough drums – a killer tune. ‘Main Chance’ (again, comp’ed on ‘Bite Hard’), yet more of that sinister, left-field funk that you only find on library albums. ‘Dirty John Crown’ – more ‘cop show’ stuff with some lovely string arrangements. ‘Swarf’ has slow and low beats with buzz flute and Moog-bass effects, lots of loop potential, kind of an eerie ‘stake-out’ theme. ‘Tarantula’ has jazzy horns with xylophone and a really dirty bass-line – amazing tune. Side B amps it up a notch with ‘Precinct’ and its tough drums, growling flute and dramatic string arrangement. ‘Pressure’ is a chunky, insistent groove with another great bass-line and more xylophone work. ‘Call Me’ has a cheeky breakbeat intro (another good one to get in the sampler) which turns into a chunky soul/jazz number with Hammond, giving a Booker T ‘Melting Pot’ kind of feel to the proceedings and if that wasn’t enough, the breakbeat is reprised at the three-quarter point for another 2 bars of sample heaven. ‘Digger’ is yet more HipHop mannah, with a great head-nodding rhythm and a dirty bass-line augmented by piano, guitar and flute. What more do you want,?! A lottery win and a pair of Emmanuelle Beart’s knickers?! ---- Sorry that I can’t upload sound files, UK buyers may e-mail me to arrange a listen to anything on the phone.----
Thanks for having the patience, diligence and lack of girlfriend to read this! Please check out my other auctions as I’ll have spent ages doing all this typing and I’d like to feel like there was some point to it! ---- NB. I will NOT end any auctions early. Please do not contact me requesting this as you are wasting your time. It is unfair to those who are watching the auctions with the intention of bidding later and no matter how much you offer me or how much you beg/plead/weep, it won’t happen! ----
THE NITTY GRITTY:
Shipping: Wherever you live, that is where I will send your package. The buyer will pay the ACTUAL shipping charges, plus the cost of the mailer/PVC sleeve. I’ll keep this cost as low as I can. Obviously, for people who’ve spent a substantial amount on records, I will do my best to be ‘pretty flexible’ with postage charges! ----
Payment: I accept payment in the following forms: Cash (GBP ONLY!), Cheque/Postal Orders (UK buyers), Paypal (IMOs are a last resort and I wouldn’t recommend that you use this route). For UK buyers, I expect payment within 10 days of the auction ending, for overseas buyers 14 days. No exceptions will be made without prior agreement with myself!! ----
Non-paying bidders / Late payment etc: Please be aware that I use eBay’s Non-Paying Bidder policy and I take the Feedback Forum seriously. Your item will be relisted after the payment deadline elapses and you will receive negative feedback!! There will be no exceptions to this, so please ensure that you have read these conditions so that we don’t have people leaving incorrect feedback after having failed to pay on time.
