Description
HOLST: "The Planets" conducted by SIR GEORGE SOLTI, released by MOBILE FIDELITY SOUNDS LABS (MFQR 1-510) in the early 80s (when they were still starting out in Chatsworth), as a 200+ Gram UHQR, specially plated and pressed on high definition vinyl by Victor of Japan, was one of MFSL's brief (only 8 titles were released before they aborted the line) moves into a specialty format for its Audiophile LPs, by releasing these heavy vinyl versions in numbered Limited Edition boxes (5000). The black boxes all have the same design with the title of the release on the boxes spine. The inside heavy cover has the same front design, with the album info on the back (Scan 1), which is numbered, as well as containing a UHQR Certificate of Authenticity with the number and MFSL President HERB BELKIN's signature (Scan 1). This is # 1189 (on the album sleeve - #1047 on the certificate ?). There is also a folded (white) cardboard insert around the LP.
The LP (Scan 2) is in MINT condition with No spindle marks on the labels and not a mark or scratch on the clean, glossy vinyl. LP is in the special rice inner sleeve. The former owner (a former MFSL employee) collected but did not play most of the items which I am and will be selling.
The Box, LP hard-cover sleeve, and all packaging are in strong NEAR MINT PLUS condition with all seams fully intact, corners sharp, and all showing Next-To-No wear, with no real defects. It has been stored carefully for over 20 years and looks is as good as a sealed copy that's just be opened (Really an open Mint)

On Dec-28-04 at 17:38:05 PST, seller added the following information: The Mystery Certificate with the different number #1047 has been solved. It belongs with the Cat Stevens UHQR Without a box that I now have up for auction (# 4063657429) and will be included with that album. So this HOLST box has NO CERTIFICATE. Sorry.
