Offered  is a rare copy in the first edition of the first stereo recording of   Holst: THE PLANETS, conducted by Leopold Stokowsky / Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra / Women's Voices of the Roger Wagner Chorale,  on Capitol FDS Label &  EMI Records Limited.

THE VINYL:  VG+ / EX :  

   SIDE 1:   is VG+ :  There are hairline marks visible under bright light, & a few light paper marks. There are no deep marks. Name written in the margin of the label.

    SIDE 2:   is EX+ :  There is a faint hairline mark & some minor paper rubs. Both sides retain much of their original gloss.                            

Wikipedia reports that this copy of The Planets is the first recorded stereo version of Holst's composition, made in 1956 & released in 1958.   Here are the side 1 / 2 runout matrix identifiers on the disc:

THE COVER:  EX  :  The is the "flap style" cover common in the EMI releases during the 1950's.  There is some edgewear, & some of the lamination is peeling in the top left corner of the front cover. The back has some age-related yellowing; name written in top left corner & a number written in the top right corner (see photos). There is a 2" tear in the middle of the spine seam (where there is the edgewear): all other seams are intact. The EMI reference is at the bottom- this is absent in the later editions.
