Description

For sale here is an ultra rare holy grail UK psych LP by the band Pussy titled Pussy Plays. Their album is one of the very best of the British progressive rock ultra-rarities.

A five-piece band, whose complete personnel remain unknown. The album's a real gem. It kicks off with Come Back June, a keyboard-driven rock number, which is followed by one of their finest, All Of My Life. With its unusual, melodramatic vocals and fine keyboard arrangements it's well worth getting to hear. In contrast, one of the album's other nuggets, We Built The Sun, is characterised by some lovely melodic guitar work and eerie harmonies. The other highlight is The Open Ground, which is again unusual and quite trippy with partly spoken lyrics. Comets is a maze of cosmic theramin-filled sound effects and there are also some instrumental cuts (Tragedy In F. Minor (which features a nice mellotron intro.) and G.E.A.B.) which aren't so good. If progressive rock's your scene, this is definitely an album to check out.

The LP was released in 1969 on the Morgan Blue Town label (catalogue number BT5002.)

This is an original UK pressing (not repress or reissue.)

The record is in Ex condition. There is the smallest amount of surface noise audible during some intros. Nothing intrusive or that detracts from the music. I normally wouldn't mention this but due to the rarity of this item I'm trying to be as thorough as possible.

The sleeve has some wear on the rear bottom right hand corner but nothing major, the seams are worn but are in tact, there is a small amount of ringwear on the front sleeve and the tiniest mark on the front top left corner where a sticker was probably removed.
