RARE US first pressing of the Horace Silver Trio`s eponymous album featuring Art Blakey, on Blue Note Records (1956).
GRADING:
VG+ COVER with a fair bit of general wear. Please see photos for details.
- Original front-laminated US first pressing sleeve.
- Store sticker and small blue ink stamp ("O") on rear sleeve (at top right).
- Top edge has a seam split (5 inches long).
- Spine has two "chipped" areas, as seen on photo.
- Also includes the original, custom-printed Blue Note inner sleeve in EX+ condition, with a seam split (at bottom).
EX++ RECORD, played a few times at most. Absolutely minimal wear and superb audio all the way!
- Original deep groove pressing vinyl, 200 grams in weight.
- Early pressing Blue Note labels with "47 West 63rd NYC" address and minimal spindle wear.
- Slight background crackle in between tracks, as well as in some quiet passages.
- A few very faint hairlines, exclusively from sleeve removal.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "BN-LP-1520-A" and "BN-LP-1520-B" and include the characteristic small "ear" logo. Signed by "RVG".
