Horace Silver Quintet/Sextet - The Jody Grind Blue Note - BLP 4250 Vinyl VG+ / Sleeve VG+ Matrix: "VAN GELDER"
Amazing rare original mono copy of this LP by Horace Silver - blue and white Blue Note labels with "a division of Liberty Records, Inc." as well as "VAN GELDER" stamped in the matrix indicate that this is an original first pressing - not a reissue. This mono version is much more rare than the stereo. Vinyl is VG+, with some paper scuffs that do not affect play. Gatefold sleeve is VG+ with nothing more than typical wear for a record of its age (sleeve is tightly packed into a poly sleeve, unclear if this is the original packaging but it cannot be removed without cutting the plastic - it is NOT in shrink) . A nicer mono original copy of this record would be very hard to find! A great copy for fans and collectors alike!
