Description

Here's a really rare and very interesting item. As you know, Iran also has a long coast line in the Arabian Gulf (in Iran they prefer to call it the Persian Gulf) but as the Arabic countries dominate the area it is very hard to come by with the very idiosyncratic nature of the music from Iran from this area, which is a synthesis of southern Persian folk, Arabic music of the area and even rhythms from Africa. 

This 78 features a Persian wedding song from the Gulf region in two parts. Such 78s or 45s cannot easily be found even in Tehran or other big citites. 

Disc is a very clean VG++. Nice shiny unworn surface/grooves, only a few faint marks
