Note, this is NOT the soundtrack to the 1962 movie, but a completely separate, and earlier, studio album project that was based on the same Life Magazine series that later inspired the Cinerama movie.
This 2 record set features Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, and a cast of other folk, country and western artists performing authentic old west songs, interspersed with spoken word recitations from the era.

Offered here is a STILL SEALED, UNPLAYED original early pressing of the Original Studio Cast Recording of HOW THE WEST WAS WON, starring Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney and others who recite spoken word passages and sing traditional folk songs popular in the old west. Please note that this album, first released in 1960, IS NOT DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO THE 1962 movie of the same name, which was based on the same source material as this record, but is not otherwise related.
This rare find is new old stock: a still sealed copy of an actual vintage unopened record album. It's like going into a time machine and having the chance to buy this classic album from the store when it was first released.
The jacket may show the slightest signs of acceptable shelf wear, but this is guaranteed to be a new and original vintage pressing, just as the same as it would’ve been had you purchased it when it was first released decades ago.
