IIncredibly rare, the second studio album from one of the greatest Chicago blues singer/guitarist Howlin' Wolf. The album is also known as "The Rockin' Chair Album" due to the illustration of an acoustic guitar resting against a rocking chair on its cover. (The name was even added to the cover on some reissue pressings) This is an original very early 1st pressing pre-release review copy, which was sent to the most famous music magazines and their critics prior to its official release. Such unique copies are significantly rarer than the promo copies, which were sent to radio station DJs. Unlike radio stations, the number of popular music magazines, where the review copies were sent to, was significantly less and this copy could belong to the Billboard, Record World or Cashbox magazine. This magazine critic review copy is so rare that you might not be able to come across it ever again. Therefore, perhaps it's your only chance. It’s impossible to find a copy, whose cover would be in a Very Good Plus Plus condition as the majority of these covers are found with a pretty heavy ring wear on the front cover and many written notes left by the critics, however, not this copy. It barely has any signs of ring wear on the front cover and doesn’t have any writing, splitting or tears. The only flaw would be some soiling and staining at the top of the back cover and some light edge and corner wear. The spine contains a fully readable text. (Please see the photo) The first thing that impresses you when you take the vinyl into your hands is its weight. This thick heavy weight nonflexible vinyl weighs almost 200 g and contains the omega ("?" in a circle in the dead wax) symbol belonging to an unidentified mastering engineer who initially worked at Ter Mar Studios and later went on to work at RCA Studios, Chicago / RCA's Mid-America Recording Center, Chicago, Illinois. I grade the condition of the vinyl as Good Plus (G+) and in spite of the marks and surface noise it has plenty of life, which allows to enjoy this magnificent album. Original Chess Recording Corp., Chicago "High Fidelity" mono LP-1469 catalog number white review version label with a large "CHESS" Chess Records logo. The labels are pretty clean without any writing or marks, containing only a very small amount of scuffing. The issue comes with the original white plain paper inner sleeve. This review copy has a very rich history and it’s impossible to overestimate its significance to your collection.

Realizing how important it is to secure the safety of the item you've paid your money for, I'll put my best effort into packing the records as best as possible, triple boxing them into the specialized professional boxes, with the two outer boxes having a special construction with extended cardboard on the edges to prevent the record covers' corners from getting damaged during the transit, and will also put the vinyl outside of the cover (of course, unless it's a sealed record) to prevent the splitting. I'll use my right to block a buyer, who doesn't correspond to my idea of politeness, culture and respect toward each other.
