Chess 1434
Very rare original mono press from 1958 of landmark collection of Wolf's toughest sides -- with every song a blues gem. Inspired accompaniment includes Ike Turner (piano on "How Many More Years" and the title tune), Willie Johnson, Hubert Sumlin, Jody Williams and Willie Dixon.
Vinyl grades VG*, with decent gloss and light surface marks and a couple scratches. Most of the disc plays very well, with full sound and surface noise much softer than the music. The exception is a 10 second piece of "No Place to Go" that has 4 or 5 pops.
The cover has the top and bottom seams taped. It looks like the spine side was taped and then glued. The front has a couple stress lines and the back has mild friction wear and a small stain.
Deep groove, black labels with silver writing are clean (see photos below).
