Philips BL 7830 1967 1967 debut LP UK pressed mono Further confirmation that this is an original 60's pressing comes with the 'Dunwich Production' credit to rear. The label as you can see from the photo has the 'In Dunwich Man' logo. This is after the writer HP Lovecrafts most famous novel 'The Dunwich Horror' All early pressings on Philips has this feature.
H. P. Lovecraft is the debut album by the American psychedelic rock band H. P. Lovecraft and was released in October 1967 by Philips Records. It blended psychedelic and folk rock and was marked by the haunting, eerie ambiance of the band's music, which itself was often inspired by the literary works of horror writer H. P. Lovecraft, after whom the band had named themselves. Although the majority of the album is comprised of interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk songs, it does feature the self-penned compositions "That's How Much I Love You, Baby (More or Less)", "The Time Machine", and arguably the band's best known song, "The White Ship". The traditional song "Wayfaring Stranger" was released as a single just ahead of the album in September 1967 and "The White Ship" was issued shortly after the album appeared, although neither single reached the charts. Like its attendant singles, H. P. Lovecraft was also somewhat commercially unsuccessful and failed to reach the Billboard Top LPs chart or the UK Albums Chart, although it did sell reasonably well over time.

CONDITION Sleeve is EX completely intact no splits or major damage at all. It has some mild softening to the edges and corners and a very small amount of creasing here and there, the flipbacks as you can see from my picture are free from scuffs and tears and are nice and clean.
Vinyl is a very attractive Near Mint, some might call it mint but near mint is my assessment. As usual I have cleaned the record on my VPI machine and placed it in a brand new pristine poly lined sleeve. The LP will of course be dispatched with the original sleeve present also. There are a few spindle marks on each side of the labels but not a massive amount as with some records. This reasonably indicates fairly light use. This is a good attractive LP.
