Description
Scarce vintage British prog lp: THREE MAN ARMY - Mahesha - Polydor Records, 2310 241, stereo, lightweight coated jacket; made in Germany; "1972" is stamped in the deadwax, but is a publishing date; this is the 1974 reissue of the 1973 1st pressing. The group was formed by Adrian Gurvitz and Paul Gurvitz, formerly of heavy-psych group The Gun. Following the band's dissolution, Adrian played with Buddy Miles and Paul played with Parrish & Gurvitz, then reunited as Three Man Army. Tony Newman, who had previously played with Sounds Incorporated and Rod Stewart, joined for the group's 2nd (this one) and 3rd albums. Newman then left to play with David Bowie, and the Gurvitzes united with Ginger Baker as the Baker Gurvitz Army.
Condition is G+/G+ (vinyl has moderate-to-heavy scuffing, soft surface scratches, including one to the awesome final track that I can barely feel, but it plays that track very well, and the rest plays VG+ with occasional soft background; I'm grading it at G+ but it plays as a completely acceptable copy; the jacket has yellowish tape stains along top and bottom seams; the glue of both seams has separated; many short wrinkles along edges and spine, heavy rubbing to spine with a 1-inch split at the top, minor rubbing to top and bottom edge, moderate rubbing to corners).
