Due to extenuating circumstances I need to sell my possessions. I have learned how important it is to have ideas when you are struggling the most and these items had symbolic value that I hope will help others in their strives to realize inevitable triumph over adversity. One of the rarest lots I have offered.  As time is short before the holiday season, my loss is your gain.  Some of these albums should be listed separately but I have little time.  The FIDELIO box set is being sold on Ebay for $200 dollars and that price is actually quite fair for a sealed copy.  The Uruguayan pressing of the 10 inch Mendelssohn album is very valuable and the sealed copies of Corigliano's World Premiere as played by the NY Philharmonic under Zubin Metha is simply sublime, the Uruguay Toscanini plays Wagner is another treat as it is in the same condition as when it was purchased decades ago.  And I mean decades.  We are talking 1940s and 1950s.  Sealed, semi-sealed, all the legends are here:

1) Mega rare Metropolitan Opera house HISTORIC RECORDING of Ludwig Van Beethoven's perennial opera FIDELIO  February 22, 1941.  includes mint inserts, booklets, enormous 12 inche program book with rare photographs and liner notes, complete libretto.  WOW  3 album set THREE lp's. Kirsten Flagstad, Rene Maison, Alexander Kipnis, Marita farell, Julius Huehn, Herbert Janssen, Karl Laufkoetter, Emery Darcy, John Gurney, condcuted by BRUNO WALTER who was a German Beethoven specialist.  The book alone could be sold under the antiquarian book category and it would get bids I am sure. Beautiful gorgeously stunning red velvet cover (like the curtains at the Met) with gold lettering.  The gold lettering I suspect was a little brighter and has wear but this volume is in very very good shape and the albums are in MINT MINT conditon , includes mylar inner liners with the Met opera trademark.

2) Mega RARE EXTINCT, Uruguayan pressing of RCA Victor, Toscanini interpreta a Wagner.  Alta fidelidad, high fidelity.  LM - 6020.  Includes TRISTAN UND ISOLE , Sigfried's Idyll , Parsifal, etc.  3 albums, gently signed on inner cardboard by owner upper left hand side.  By far, one of the rarest albums I have ever offered. INSIDE albums THREE IN TOTAL 3 are in mint condition.

3) rare SEALED new factory shrinkwrapped copy    NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC   Zubin Mehta.  Drucker , clarinet.  Recorded Lincoln Center, Avery Fisher Hall.  John Corigliano, concerto clarinet and orchestra, Samuel Barber, third essay for orchestra , opus 47.  WORLD PREMIERE RECORDING  New World records.

17) Japanese OBI label release D Gram, Fredrich Gulda, Klavier, Wiener Philharmoniker, Vienna Philharmonic.  Mozart piano concert # 20 d minor. all MINT but cover has some marks from humidity on top. If not, I would definitely be offering these at single auctions and not in a lot
