UN-OPENED & UN-PLAYED!
STILL IN ORIGINAL 1970’s SHRINK-WRAP!!
Here is HULA BLUES, a brilliant selection of Steel Guitar Instrumentals from the 30's & 40's on a vinyl LP Rounder 1012, originally released in 1974.
You get Sol Hoopii, Roy Smeck, Frank Ferera, Jim And Bob The Genial Hawaiians etc doing bluesy tunes and finger-busting showpieces. DEFINITELY not the sort of thing you’d hear on a “Bounty” commercial.
If you like The Cheap Suit Serenaders, you’ll love this LP.
And, of course, it’s un-played in the original shrink-wrap.
The only reason you’re getting this record is because I found I had two!
My own copy has a sticker from a New Orleans record shop!
Here’s yer track list:
Sol Hoopii–Hula Blues
Sol Hoopii–Farewell Blues
Sol Hoopii–Hawaiian March
Frank Ferera–Melani Anu Ka Makani
Jim And Bob The Genial Hawaiians–Song Of The Range
Jim And Bob The Genial Hawaiians–Chimes
Biltmore Orchestra–Kaui Kahio
Lemuel Turner–Jake Bottle Blues
Pat Patterson And His Champion Rep Riders–The Cat's Whiskers
Sol Hoopii–Train Song
Andy Sanella–Blues Of The Guitar
Hawaiian Serenaders– Honolulu Stomp
Sol Hoopii With O.T. Coffin–Twelfth Street Rag
Roy Smeck–Hilo March
Roy Smeck–Kalima Waltz
Roy Smeck–Twilight Echoes
Every track is a revelation.
Condition-wise, the sleeve is very clean without any corner-bashes or creases. I’d rate is as an exceptionally strong VG++ or better.
I assume the disc is in as-new condition, because it’s still in the shrink-wrap. To be fair, let’s call it an exceptionally strong VG++ or better.
I am not a dealer.
I am just an old bloke thinning out his lifetime collection of STUFF before the floor collapses, or I do.
I'm selling most of this stuff for much less than I paid for it.
What a great business plan (I don't think)!
The LP in the photograph is the LP you will get. You will not get Mr Fuffy, the one-eyed feral cat who “helps” me with my disc-photographing in the garden workshop. He approves of every track, and thinks the LP is “The Cat’s Whiskers”.
I have described the item to the best of my ability, and everything looks in splendid condition to me.
Please check the photographs to decide for yourself.
NO OVERSEAS bidders please.
And NO OVERSEAS bidders using UK addresses please.
NO BUYER COLLECT.
I am a simple sort, and I want my buyers to be happy. If there is any kind of problem, I like to deal with it personally. I can’t do this if you’re thousands of miles away!
