HUMAN BEAST: Volume One (German Decca) 1969

No need for much of an introduction as Human Beast Volume One is highly sought as a heavy classic of the late 60's, early 70's psych/prog/rock period.  Human Beast were a Scottish trio; unfortunately they never released a Volume Two. This is the German release, which came out the same year as the UK release. The releases seem equally rare, although the UK version trades for significantly higher prices. The vinyl grades a strong VG + visually :plays solid VG++ the vinyl has a deep rich gloss but there are a fair number of superfine hairlines that do cause light clicks and light noise on and off throughout both sides but no harsh marks at all, no marks that can be felt; dynamic range is outstanding on this pressing.  Labels are NM.  Outer laminated sleeve grades VG++: top middle edge has some deterioration of laminate edge into cardboard with about 1" close to split through (see photo); ring wear; light edge creasing and laminate lifting; a few scratch marks in front laminate, bottom middle; light wear along opening edge; there is an "R" stamped (embossed) on the rear cover; no splits and spine is solid; artwork, graphics and photos are solid, bright and clean. This copy is not a museum piece, but it provides a solid, enjoyable listen and is more than an acceptable copy of a stone hard-psych classic.
