HUMAN INSTINCT - BURNING UP YEARS
Nice copy of this long deleted 1970 psych gem with the excellent sound quality being the real highlight
The condition of the vinyl is very good plus (VG+) - the vinyl has retained a nice jet black sheen with just a few small and extremely light surface only scuff marks and equally faint wispy hairlines on each side, with each non-feelable, nothing appearing to be below the surface and all barely impinging upon the impressive sound quality. Excellent plus (EX+) condition labels with the only blemishes being some small and extremely light spindle trails on each - otherwise perfect, with all text crisp and clear and each label containing the 1st press circular deep groove. Very good minus (VG-) condition original 1st press outer laminated gatefold sleeve. The top and bottom edges remain firm with a 3cm scuff in the middle of the bottom edge and there is very little laminate lifting. There is significant and clearly noticeable scuffing on the spine which does obscure some of the spine text (see photos), and the spine itself has a 3cm split at both the top and the bottom. There is also a 5cm tear on the front side towards the top of the spine which has been neatly repaired with sellotape from within the inside of the gatefold (again, see photo). The internal flipbacks are in excellent condition and all text and photos remain clearly defined. The outer gatefold remains presentable and fully functional but comes across as being well used. Overall excellent (EX) STEREO audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, or distortion and any background crackle is at a minimum - just the very occasional hint of a little and very mild background crackle but nothing to impinge upon the overall impressive sound quality with every track a great listen - timeless rock! You might come across one or two random background clicks but I am certain that these are due to the odd speck of dust caught in the groove through decades of storage. Comes with new plain white die-cut sleeve. An overall nice copy of this 1970 New Zealand psych gem with the impressive sound quality being the obvious highlight.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
