HUMAN INSTINCT - Stoned Guitar
Long deleted 1970 NZ super rare hard rock gem
Overall very good plus (VG+) condition vinyl - completely flat and retaining it's original and impressive jet black sheen. Little marked and it is only with close inspection under a bright light that just a few extremely light paper scuff lines and a couple of very wispy hairlines come into view - each non-obvious and certainly non-feelable, superficial and not impinging upon the overall terrific sound quality. There is also a tiny light hairline towards the end of B1 and a similarly tiny hairline towards the end of B2, each just feelable (only just) and resulting in two light clicks at each of those locations. Note also that there are just a few seconds of very light background crackle accompanied by a single light skip towards the beginning of side 1 but I can find no obvious reason for this, even with careful scrutiny under a bright light. Excellent plus (EX+) condition labels : not even the usual one or two small and extremely faint spindle trails next to the centre hole. The only blemish is an extremely thin (so thin that it is non-feelable) circular score line on the side 2 label - otherwise perfect. Remarkable for a 54 year old record such as this, and further supporting the view that this record has only been very sparingly played. Very good (VG)) condition non-laminated outer sleeve with all of the edges remaining firm. As the photos testify the outer sleeve does have some blemishes : mild but virtually continuous scuffing on each edge, a little rubbing on each corner (though the corners themselves do remain nicely defined right angles), mild ring wear on the front side, and the occasional light handling/storage mark on each side. Still presentable and still fully functional, but clearly with some mild blemishes - do take a close look at the photos. Overall excellent minus (EX-) stereo audio quality with no repeats, sticks, distortion, or interference and any background crackle is very occasional and at an absolute minimum - negligible in fact. As already mentioned, however, there is a tiny hairline towards the end of B1 and again towards the end of B2, each just (and only just) feelable and resulting in two mild clicks at each of these locations; and also a small glitch towards the beginning of A1 - a few rotations of very light crackle accompanied by a single skip, the cause of which remains a mystery to me even after repeated scrutiny under a bright light. Perhaps a proper clean will rectify, though I cannot guarantee that of course. What a great album this is with every track standing the test of time and remaining a great listen : hard rock at it's very best with superb guitar solos throughout! Comes in plain white inner sleeve (not the original). An overall very nice copy of this long deleted and extremely rare NZ 1st pressing hard rock gem - super rare and almost impossible to find now.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
