Hi, welcome to 2007 and my first vinyl auctions for the year - this week a stellar line-up. Here is a genuine classic, mighty New Zealander's The Human Instinct and their staggering 1970 psych/prog masterpiece, Burning Up The Years. If you've heard it's awesome, then believe all the wraps. The title track alone - which takes up most one one side - is a psych monster. This is an original NZ FIRST PRESSING on the Marble Arch label (ZMALS-103). It has the flip back cover where the vinyl comes out on the left (rather than the right) of the right hand panel of the centrespread. This is the genuine article and NOT one of the many rereleased versions going around.

The a-side record label is in VG condition - a name has been scrubbed off across the middle. Otherwise it is in top condition. The b-side label is M-. !!!! The vinyl has plenty of light hairlines, a few light marks, and a few paper scuffs. It plays beautifully with just a little light background noise in the quieter and more laidback moments. Let's say VG+ to be conservative. The flipback cover is in VG+ condition!!!! It has some edge wear, some medium spinal wear, very light to light corner wear, a few light creases. The unlaminated centrespread is in top condition with just a small name in blue bottom right of the left panel - VG++, otherwise M-. The back cover, like the front is laminated and is VG++. As I said, let's grade the cover a conservative VG+. Seriously, this is a very good copy of a 36-year-old album that is much sought after. And the starting price is very modest indeed.
