Description

My name is Chuck Dukowski. I was Black Flag's bassist until the end of 1983 and was an SST Records owner until the end of 1989. I'm selling a bunch of my records and collectables.  This is a rare 1990 Colored Vinyl edition of HUSKER DU's ear ripping 17 song SST debut album "Land Speed Record". This record is pressed in marbled grey (grey/black/white) vinyl and has been played only once or twice in the label quality control process. There were only a few hundred of these made. They were pressed to retail pre-orders with no surplus stock. Because of the nature of our deal with our plant the records sometimes came in in more than one color even in the relatively short runs we were doing. This record really captures the mind boggling energy and musical depth of early Husker Du. When I first heard them at the OZ in Chicago they blew me away. I was winter and I think it was 1980. Soon thereafter we released this record with them.
