Description

Up for auction is an original pressing of the Husker Du album "New Day Rising" originally released in the U.S. on SST Records (SST-031) in 1985.

-Guaranteed early U.S. pressing, not recent reissue
-Original etchings in the deadwax read:
  -Here in the midst of graveyards that push up light
  -I'll trade you two good Shirleys for 10,000 dead mid-western indians
-Dark gold/light blue SST labels
-KDISC mastering stamp in deadwax run-out
-Original inner sleeve w/ lyrics
-No UPC/bar code on cover

Condition:
The cover is in nice condition, minor signs of wear.  Light rubbing front and back, and to the seams.  Seams are nice, no splits, but show some light rub.  Corners lightly rubbed.  Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+).

The vinyl is also very good, still has much of its original shine.  It shows some light paper scuffing from taking the vinyl out of the paper inner sleeve a few times.  There are also a few very faint superficial hairlines that can be seen only under a strong light--they do not affect the quality of playback, which is very good.  Labels are clean, unmarked.  Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+).
