Description

The Hampton Hawes Trio - Vol. 1 Contemporary LP C 3505 is a first pressing from 1955 featuring the artist Hampton Hawes on piano, with a double bass and drums completing the trio. Released by Contemporary Records, this high-fidelity record is in mono format and on a 12" black vinyl with original cover. Produced by Lester Koenig, this jazz LP showcases the talents of the musicians and is a valuable addition to any vinyl collection from the 1950s era. A must-have for jazz enthusiasts looking to experience the sounds of the era captured on this iconic release.

  Hampton Hawes first recording, with his name; read Koenig's liner notes. The so called west coast jazz sound or scene is interesting to read about and of course listen to. This sleeve shows some shelf wear, no tears or splitting and at opening it was taped a little to protect the record. I left the tape for buyer to remove if necessary. I left the plastic inlay on to photograph so I wouldn't touch the vinyl. It has been stored since about 1984 when I played it last.
