Description

This is the original 10” deep groove pressing of Hampton Hawes “Trio” on Vantage VLP-1.   The flat rim red vinyl playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; a tiny flaw towards the end of the first track on Side 1 makes six tics; there are also sporadic tics throughout, probably inherent in the pressing.  The coated cover has ring wear on the front, a 1 ½” split on the top seam at the opening, and 1/8’ wear at the lower left corner.  Personnel include Harper Cosby and Lawrence Marable.  $100.00.
