Description
Here’s a fascinating lost version of Hank Cochran’s “I Fall to Pieces” that’s labeled “R&B” and sounds as if it was meant to be pitched to someone like Otis Redding. The label is from Pamper Music, the publishing company owned by Ray Price, where Cochran was signed for an exclusive contract from 1959 through the late 60’s. This version sounds to me like it was recorded in 1962 or ’63, after the original country version had become a hit for Patsy Cline. VG condition with some wear but nice playback. The acetate is 8" and plays at 45 rpm.
