Hank Mobley - A Caddy For Daddy - BST 84230 - No Reserve
Description:
This is a used record. I am still learning, so if the buyer feels that I have over-graded a record, please contact me so I can correct the problem.
Artist: Hank Mobley
Album: A Caddy For Daddy
Album Number: BST 84230
Record: VG+
Cover: NM
Sleeve: Original - intact
Misc Comments:
My grading generally follows Goldmine standards, but I base much on how the record sounds and plays. I have provided my definitions below:
Records
Mint = The only record I'll give this grade to is one that is still sealed.
NM = The record looks flawless and plays the same.
VG+ = The record plays beautifully and has no scratches. There may be a slight scuff or two.
VG = The record plays beautifully but may have visible scratches or scuffs that do not affect the playing. There may be surface noise in some of the soft passages, intro and fade.
G+ = Visible scratches and wear that are evident when played, but not enough to interfere with the music.
G = Bad looking record with scratches, wear and scuffing. The record plays without skips. The surface noise is distracting for a quiet evening but acceptable for background music while working or when in a noisy environment.
Covers/Sleeves
NM / Near mint = No more than the minor defect, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling.
VG+ / Very Good + = LP cover may have slight signs of wear and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was take out of print. Sleeves may have slight ring wear, slightly turned up corners or a slight split seam.
VG / Very Good = Same defects as VG+ but more pronounced. May have writing, tape or stickers (or residue) but not all these problems – maybe 2 or 3.
G / Good = Split seams, especially at bottom and spine. Tape, writing, wear and other defects will start to overwhelm the cover/sleeve.
Payment:
I will send an invoice within a few hours of the end of an auction. If you do not receive an invoice, please check the security settings on your email spam filter and make the necessary modifications to allow my invoices and email to reach you. I accept Paypal only as a last resort. I prefer credit cards or almost anything else accepted under eBay's Accepted Payments practices. For further information to go http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/accepted-payments-policy.html. Ebay prohibits sellers from soliciting those other methods although buyers can still utilize those payment methods. Payments must be made within 10 days of auction end.
Shipping:
I gladly combine shipping on all items. For LP records, the first record is $3.75 and each additional record is $0.50 each. Albums with two records counts as two albums - the first album is $4.25 and additional albums are $0.50 each.
Terms of Sale:
I am not a record collector - I just like music and listen to it all the time. Therefore I place more importance on the 'listenability' of the record. All the records I sell are worth listening to, but the LPs with a "G" rating have tics and hiss that can be heard. All though it noise can be heard, it is not enough to distract totally from the music. Don't wait until the last day to ask questions - I may not be near a computer.
