This is an auction for the Hank Mobley - A Caddy for Daddy PROMO copy with "DEMONSTRATION ONLY" stamped on front - with the amazing supporting cast of Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, McCoy Tyner, Bob Crenshaw and Billy Higgins - BLUE NOTE BST-84230 Stereo - "Division of Liberty" deep groove DG labels. Engineered by Rudy Van Gelder but no stamp of 'VAN GELDER' or etched 'RVG' in trailoff. An incredibly beautiful record - RECOMMENDED. If you don't have a copy, and you don't purchase this one, do yourself a favor and get the LP somewhere!
Record is visually graded as Mint- and PLAY GRADED Mint- with almost no spindle marks on labels. Sound quality is superb, realistic audiophile quality - Rudy Van Gelder at his best recording excellent performances from the musicians, cover is VG++ with slight ring wear, slight foxing on top white space and slight wear at corner tips. One of several hard to find 60s & 70s Jazz pressings I'll be listing on Ebay this week.
