Description

The address on both label is 767 Lexington Ave. NYC: same address at the bottom of the back cover.  Deep groove on both sides.  Flat edge. The record has the "ear" and "RVG" inscribed in the dead wax.  4 tracks.  Tunes all composed by Mobley.  Leader, Hank Mobley, tenor sax; Horace  Silver, piano; Conald Byrd, Lee Morgan, trumpets; Paul Chambers, bass; Charlie Persip, drums.  Recorded in 1957.  Fine cover picture by Francis Wolff.

Cover:  Good   3" scotch tape applied to the top edge at the insert edge; 1"split on the bottom edge at the insert edge.  2 fragments of aging scotch tape repair a tear in the notes on the back cover.  No paper loss.  Light aging on the back cover with a partial record ring.  Similar scotch tape repair on a corresponding tear on the upper corner of the front cover.  See pictures.  Slight general wear on the front cover. Light aging on the back cover.

Record:   Mint(-)    Visually shows light wear with 3 light surface rub marks on Side 2 and a few very light brush-like surface rub marks on both sides.  These light marks are barely visible.  None of these marks affect the sound.  No surface noise on Side 1.  2 faint clicks on Side 2, Track 1. No other surface noise on Side 2, Plays close to new.  Moderately heavy vinyl pressing. Fine, collectable quality.  Audibly checked.
