Description
Hank's Shout-featuring, Lee Morgan, Hank Jones, Doug Watkins, Art Taylor
This is the Alternate release of the original 1957 Savoy recording titled "Introducing Lee Morgan" Extremely Hard to Find!
Originally released under Hank Mobley's name, this album features a youthful (age 18) Lee Morgan on trumpet, Hank Jones (piano), Doug Watkins (bass), and SArt Taylor (drums). Lee clearly exhibits the influence of Clifford Brown in this recording. This set was also released under the name A-1: The Savoy Sessions.
The Vinyl has beautiful luster and bright fidelity. There are some visible marks and paper scuffs, however a test play proved flawless results. A great Bop Jazz play! The Glossy Gatefold Jacket is beautiful, no marks tears or defects of any kind.
A VERY RARE PIECE!
