It is true some people called them Homoi Rocks. I suppose their sexual preferences were pretty ordinary but the poor singer used to have a sex oriented identity crisis.
A fact their record company tried to hide. In some early promo photos he was wearing women´s high heels but the photos were framed so you could not see his shoes. That´s nothing new. The NY Dolls were the pioneers in trans-gender bender rock and Johnny & the boys looked quite cute in high-heeled leather boots.
Rock and sexuality have always gone hand in hand in public. Sadly Hanoi Rocks were not sexual. They were only androgynous.
