Happy Mondays - "Hallelujah" - Vinyl LP - 1990 - FACT 260
Apart from a 2" x 1" sized area on the front top right corner where the printed surface has been lifted where some one has removed a label [see image], the cover is in good condition with only slight wear on the edges and corners.
Plain inner dustcover.
***On visual inspection, the vinyl has some surface marks but I am hopeful these will not cause any playback problems. However, I haven't had time to play the album before listing. I will do so ASAP and revise the listing accordingly.***
*** 12/12/16 @ 14.04 - I have now played all tracks, both sides, from start to finish. There are no sticks or jumps but there are some occasional crackles and pops associated with the marks referred to above. They did not detract from my enjoyment of the album in any way.
Without wishing to enter into an interminable debate about the aural benefits of unsampled, analogue vinyl recordings over sampled and compressed digital media, I do suggest that there is an additional pleasurable dimension to the handling of vinyl records as well an appreciation of the larger artwork on LP album covers and the experience of listening to the album as a whole work as the artist/producer intended. You just don't seem to get that with a CD and definitely not with MP3's or streaming individual tracks.
The album will be dispatched in a Defendapack Music Max mailer bulked out with bubble wrap where necessary to prevent internal movement and damage in transit. These mailers hold up to three LP's and postage only costs £2.80 Royal Mail 2nd Class or £3.30 Royal Mail 1st Class (both UK only) so you can make some really serious postage savings with multiple contemporaneous purchases.
