This lovely LP from Philips (835 219 AY, Dutch pressing, plum/silver bold letter logo*, stereo, original inner sleeve included) features the splendid Adam Harasiewicz, First Prize Winner of the 1955 International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, in a masterly presentation of Chopin's Nocturnes for Piano, Nos. 11-19, recorded at the Bachzaal, Amsterdam in April 1963.
*NOTE:
The “Hi-Fi Stereo” logo appears only on the jacket – not on the LP itself.

Harasiewicz is totally inside Chopin's world and plays with an aristocratic refinement, and yet with such naturalness and beauty of tone, that one is completely drawn in – superb!
Incidentally, the striking cover photo of Harasiewicz was taken by Arjé Plas. The uncredited liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket are provided in German only.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the front laminated jacket is near-MINT. There is minor edgewear, but that is all. There are no seamsplits, bends, or owners' markings, and the album remains solid, bright, glossy, and highly attractive – a truly excellent collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is near-MINT. Though the surfaces are not perfectly silent (and thus I have rated it NM vs. MINT) this is a fine copy and playback is superb. If you must have perfect surfaces, then please do not buy this LP. Overall, this rates as a NM collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
