The late George Smith (last two images) was a professional jazz trumpet musician, composer, arranger and teacher. He worked primarily in the New York tri-state area for nearly fifty years. He played with a number of big names during the '60s through '80s at events and New York clubs such as Birdland, Village Vanguard and Blue Note.

This album was part of his personal collection. It saddens me to have to part with a collection that my uncle cherished so much and one of the last tangible reminders that I have of him, but I know he would agree that using the proceeds to finance my mathematics project (http://youtu.be/_PEZAfFlBXY) is a worthy cause.

Grading scale: I'm using the Goldmine specifications to grade these albums, covers and sleeves.
