Grading
I use the UK industry standard “Record Collector” Rare Record Price Guide  system (RCRRPG) to grade my items

Item is graded Sleeve/Inner Sleeve (if any) /Disc
Unless stated, my stock is visually graded, this is based on 20+ years online selling experience, many more as a collector. Records are only play tested if they show obvious defects, this will be noted in the listing.

Mint (M) Only sealed items (disc) will receive this grade
Near Mint (NM) - The record looks virtually like it was pressed yesterday, like it's barely been played, been if ever. The playing surface should not show any obvious marks and playback should be clear. The sleeve and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in near perfect condition
Excellent (EX) - The record shows signs of having been played but there are little or no visible marks on the playing surface, playback should be 8.5/10, minimum. The sleeve and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing
Very Good Plus (VG+) - The record has obviously been played and there are some light marks on the playing surface. The record might play with some mild /intermittent, light/warm crackle, no clicks or pops. Normal wear and tear on the sleeve or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

I grade an “as new” item with a light mark or two, or very minor defect as (VG+)

Very Good (VG) - The record has obviously been played and there are noticeable marks and scuffs on the playing surface. If these imperfections look as though they might impact play back, the track will be play tested and described in the listing. Normal wear and tear on the sleeve or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (G) - Lots of marks on the playing surface which will likely result in deterioration of the sound quality and background noise. The sleeve and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. I only sell records with this or a lower grade if they are rare or in-demand
Fair (F) - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The sleeve and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced

Packaging
I use sturdy corrugated mailers, marked "Fragile" not the cheap, flimsy ones with stiffeners as required, vinyls are removed from sleeve (if not sealed, or you can request I open it and do so).  45s are provided with a new sleeve.

I don't post on Saturdays
