Description

The Harlem Trio (George McClennon clarinet, Eddie Heywood piano,
unidentified banjo) play "Clarinet Laughing Blues" on 78rpm Race
Series OKeh 8072.
This was done in NYC in April of 1923.
On the reverse, some nice Jazz is played by Mamie Smith's Jazz
Hounds (instrumental, with no Mamie vocal). They do "Those Longing
For You Blues."
Johnny Dunn is on cornet with young Coleman Hawkins on tenor sax
among others in the 8-piece unit.
This side was done in August of 1922, also in New York.
The record is in excellent-minus (E-) condition with some light
pressure marks.
