"Harmonia Sacra"  Franconia and Lancaster Choral Singers Lancaster PA  Miller/Hope Records CR-28 Stereo  Selections are from the Harmonia Sacra, the shaped note hymnal first published in 1832 in Singers Glen VA by a young man, Joseph Funk, who had settled there from eastern PA. The singers are directed by Hiram Hershey and accompanied by a full orchestra.  Arrangements by Alice Parker, who had been the arranger for the Robert Shaw Chorale from 1948 to 1967.  Produced by John O. Yoder, patriarch of the Calvary Chords.
