CLEAN ORIGINAL! Want to know what a pristine cobra pressing sounds like? Me too! Now, be prepared, as these discs were made in the 50's on rather primitive equipment... the vinyl on these is impure and the gloss is not mirror like, but has a light texture from the presses and the blanks that were used, but it's still impressive in its sound. check out the audio below in Cd quality 20-20k with no filtration. The light high end noise is inherent and would be the same on a mint copy, and I believe this pressing is unplayed, as I have come across 4 of these in the collection it's from. Some truly rare white labels and minty soul. WE DIG THE DEEPEST! When in doubt check out youtube for a listen, 'cause these are the coolest and the rarest! What's the big deal about promos?? Well in the case of many major labels, promos were pressed separate from stock copies. In many cases, such as A&M, CBS and MOTOWN etc, they were pressed on pure virgin vinyl, unlike STYRENE which was used for their stock copies. The sound and quality is markedly better and not to mention the rarity of them, in many cases being one out of many thousand copies. So if you see "audiophile" posted in my 45 auctions, you can be sure it's a high quality VINYL pressing, not a styrene copy. Most of these have been in storage, in their original mailer envelopes with sequential numbered discs. If a 45 is listed MINT, that means it appears as NEW-OLD-STOCK in its original jacket.
