Harry Beckett - Flare Up
(Philips 6308 026 UK LP 1970)
This is a 1st Pressing UK LP. It has a heavyweight fully laminated sleeve & comes with its original generic polythene lined company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has black & silver "Philips" labels. These have 1st press 1Y#-1 and 2Y#-1 matrix numbers.
This is an extremely rare early 1970's UK Jazz/ Free Jazz/ Jazz-Rock-Fusion LP. It also features John Surman, Mike Osborne, Alan Skidmore, Frank Ricotti etc... I have some other rare & collectable 1960's, early 1970's UK and USA Jazz LP's for sale too. So please see my other listings.
Sleeve: There is mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on a few areas This is not that noticeable. There are three mild laminate creases on the front. There are about 7 small & light hairline creases at the spine area. These measure from 1 cm to 1.5 cm in length. There is mild fading to the spine. Otherwise, the spine is fine. The spine text is completely legible. Overall, Very Good+ condition
Vinyl: There are about 4 light, mild or very mild hairline surface marks on Side 2. These measure from 1 cm to 4 cm in length. There are some light, mild, very mild or more moderate sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can be seen under a strong light. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Good++ condition. The labels are in Very Near Excellent condition & show mild or very mild spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall. & Excellent in some places There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are no noticeable clicks or pops. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.
