Description
HARRY CARNEY WITH STRINGS, Clef MG C-640, deep groove pressing, cover art by David Stone Martin.
The musicians on this rare 1954 recording are Harry Carney (baritone sax, bass clarinet), Ray Nance (violin, trumpet), Jimmy Hamilton (clarinet), Tony Miranda (french horn), Leroy Lovett (piano), Billy Bauer (guitar), Wendell Marshall (bass), Louis Bellson (drums), plus 11-piece string section.
The tunes are I Don't Stand a Ghost of a Chance With You, Take the A Train, We're In Love Again, Chalmeu, Moonlight On the Ganges, It Had To Be You, My Fantasy, I've Got It Bad and That Ain't Good.
Condition of record is E-, some light scuffing, no scratches, no spindle marks. There is a small "pimple" in the pressing which plays through with a few slightly audible thumps. Jacket shows some overall wear, top and bottom seams are repaired with clear tape, moisture damage along bottom has been neatly repaired.

G = Good. Not really all that good. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.

We think that most buyers want to receive their winnings quickly, so we offer the fastest mail options and we pack our records very carefully in heavy duty mailers. Shipments are made on Saturday and Tuesday mornings. Records which have been paid for by 3:00 PM on the day before will be shipped on those days.
