Louisiana Folklore Society - A Sampler of Louisiana Folk Songs by Traditional Performers - LSF-1201 - Collected by Harry Oster - 1957. (Mono)
This is an extremely rare record, and was pressed on RED vinyl. This includes the 20 page document written by Dr. Harry Oster, detailing the collection (which has some intermitten notes taken throughout, in small ink). Harry Oster is famous for his prison recordings and many other folk recordings from this era.
The cover is in pretty decent shape for being as old as it is. The cover has peeled off a little bit so that about 1/4 of the front lettering is missing. The vinyl itself still plays very good.
This is Harry Oster's First Recording. Does anyone else even have one of these?
