Here's a chance to get the highly sought-after 'Delusion Of The Fury' Columbia box set which includes the rare 3-LP which Partch discusses & plays his various instruments (beautiful colour reproductions are in the booklet). The box is in gorgeous condition (extremely clean - no fading) - LP's & booklet are mint.

It's not an exaggeration to say there is nothing quite like "Delusions of Fury." Partch built his own instruments or altered existing ones to achieve the sounds heard in the piece, which was influenced by Japanese Noh plays, stories from Africa and his own experiences as a hobo. Like Charles Ives and John Cage before him, Partch confounded traditional minded musicians and critics and he continues to do so. Consequently he has been been the subject of neglect in the history of American music. Essential.
