'Harvest Moon', Neil Young's 1992 country-flavoured re-visit of 'Harvest' from 20 years previously. This album was the culmination of a purple patch lasting three or four years, during which he produced this mostly wistful and relaxed music, several grunge epics with Crazy Horse, the brassy blues of 'This Note's For You', as well as the classic rock of 'Freedom', all between 1989 and 1992! Most singer-songwriters would settle for any one of those as a career highlight, but not our Shakey. This has been re-listed due to a non-paying bidder rasmusbjoernskov.
I have owned this from new, and would offer the record as a confident EX or even NM if it were not for one blemish - the opening track jumps three or four times at the very beginning - it affects only the first 20 seconds of 'Unknow Legend'. I've cleaned it a couple of times, very carefully, with a Moth cleaning machine, but this did not solve the problem. Apart from the one jump, the sound is lovely and clear with clean, glossy vinyl and few other audible pops - this has been played on a very well set-up Pink Triangle/SME IV turntable. The label is green/white/orange reprise, it's a German pressing, and the lost wax bears the legend '936 245057-1-A2/-1-B3'. Sleeve and inner lyric bag are both in EX condition.
