Description

An original 1st press of DFL on the UK United Artists label from 1972. Matrix A2U/B2U - very 1st cut. Etching - "Porky". Please note how the perimeter text 'Manufactured in England' has been redacted - and 'Made in Germany' added in the top-right. The vinyl comes housed in an original silver/black cover. Also included is the Hawklord inner sleeve and the poster. So 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks either side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one brief deviation. Intros an inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. The deviation is in the closing seconds of 'Time We Left..' where we're detecting a touch of distortion creeping in briefly. Other than that a very impressive rendition even in those quiet acoustic guitar sections. Nice!
Cover (Vg+) Everyone knows this cover is a real pain to find in top condition - but this example acquits itself admirably. Nice clean front without the usual heavy surface wear. The rear is very nice and shiny with only light handling. Edge wear is light and the text on the spine is pretty much all still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Please note -- there are two letters written in black biro in the top-right corner on the front. You have to tilt the cover to the light to make them out.
Inner (Vg) In nice condition without marking or ageing. Do bear in mind edges have split a bit and have been taped up.
Poster (Ex/Ex+) No ageing. No marking. No splits. Just two tiny pin pricks.
