On offer here is the SUPERB FOLD-OUT COVER LP by HAWKWIND called 'IN SEARCH OF SPACE' and is a 1971 UK 1st Pressing. THIS LP IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND COMPLETE WITH BOOKLET!!!!
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE CREAM UNITED ARTISTS LABEL, CATALOGUE NUMBER UAG 29202. EARLIEST MATRICES A1U/B1U. THIS LP IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!
This release has an innovative 8-page, 3-fold die-cut heavy card sleeve. Opened out, it forms a 'T' shape. This shape is printed black & white on inside and full-color on reverse.
When the lower page is folded up (to contain the liner) the sleeve then takes the form of a 6-page triptych - with the die-cut tab & slot linking together at the center. When locked 'closed' the liner/vinyl can still be inserted via the top opening.
The back cover has a blurred shot of Stacia dancing on-stage, with text that encapsulates the essence of the work:
"Technicians of Space Ship Earth
This is Your Captain Speaking
Your Captain is Dead"
"Printed and made by the E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford".
The inside spread photos include members of The Pink Fairies.
The package also contains an A4, 24-page 'Log Book', packed with the minutiae of the band's 'flight' through space & time. This 'Log' is printed black on white 'newspaper-quality' paper.
The record labels are in GREAT condition (see pictures) with NO writing, and barely a spindle mark AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED ONLY ONE-TWO TIMES AT MOST!!!! The vinyl is in superb condition!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL JUST PRESSED LOOK AND LOOK AWESOME!!!! The record plays MORE STUNNINGLY THAN the visual!!!! The record plays with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! The record grades as MINT MINUS AUDIO!!!! Believe me this is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!!
The record comes in its ORIGINAL BLACK inner sleeve. The logbook is in very good condition. The FOLDOUT Cover is GREAT condition!!!! The cover is VERY flat looking indeed with NO ringwear, NO sticker tears, NO writing and only minor edge wear!!!! The cover must grade EXCELLENT minus!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
