Original UK Liberty/United Artists labels of the 1st press.

The album was recorded at Olympic Studios, London in mid-1971 and released in October. The album included the future anthem 'Master Of The Universe', written by Dave Brock & Nik Turner. The space travel concept and artwork were part of a collaboration between Barney Bubbles and Robert Calvert. The logbook charts the random travels of space/time Captain RN Calvert and would cement the band as pioneers of Space Rock.

This is the original issue with the Liberty-United Artists label credits, the 24 page booklet on the newsprint paper and the earliest A-1U, B-2U matrices!   The Ernest J. Day Group matt foldout poster sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some storage rubbing/fading on the outer folds of the cover. The inter-locking leaves of the poster cover are intact, with a couple of creases and in EX condition and the spine is fully readable. The booklet is intact and in EX condition & the plain inner is intact and in VG+ condition.   The records are in visually in EX+ condition, with only a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two small needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of one or two very faint spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX+, clear & precise throughout with definately no skips, sticks or jumps and no loud crackle, hiss or pops, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves. Overall, a really loud and clear listen which plays really well.   The matrix nos. are; UAG 29202, A-1U mother stamper 3-RO, B-2U mother stamper 1-P. This is one of the early pressings of the original 1971 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
