Description
Notes from Discogs.com regarding 1st pressings of this record:
Notes
UK 1st press (A1U/B1U & A1U/B2U). THIS ONE IS A1U/B2U
Subsequent pressings (A1U/B4U & A2U/B4U), have a different label layout
This release has an innovative 8-page, 3-fold die-cut heavy card sleeve. Opened out, it forms a 'T' shape. This shape is printed black & white on inside and full-color on reverse.
When the lower page is folded up (to contain the liner) the sleeve then takes the form of a 6-page triptych - with the die-cut tab & slot linking together at the center. When locked 'closed' the liner/vinyl can still be inserted via the top opening.
The back cover has a blurred shot of Stacia dancing on-stage, with text that encapsulates the essence of the work:
"Technicians of Space Ship Earth
This is Your Captain Speaking
Your Captain is Dead"
"Printed and made by the E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford".
[The inside spread photos include members of The Pink Fairies].
The package also contains an A4, 24-page 'Log Book', packed with the minutiae of the band's 'flight' through space & time. This 'Log' is printed black on white 'newspaper-quality' paper.
Produced at Olympic Studios, Barnes. Track B2 first recorded at Air Studios.

This is part of a Record Collection belonging to a family member, who purchased them primarily as a collection and not for playing. I have others from this collection already listed and will be listing more so if you are a collector then maybe take a look at the others ?
I do not have the equipment to play this and condition has been assessed by visual examination only but many successful purchasers have been happy with the description so far !
Close examination of the Vinyl surfaces and the labels show little sign of the record being played. No marks on vinyl and just a couple of faint spindle marks on label around the centre hole
Please examine the photographs. I will provide any additional close up photos on request.
The outer and inner sleeves are excellent condition being kept in a protective plastic sleeve.
The log book is present and in excellent condition with little sign of use
This will be shipped in packaging specifically designed for shipping LP records and Tracked.
