This is a Rare Opportunity.
On offer here is a very First Pressing of Hawkwind’s first Self Titled album, Hawkwind, released on the Blue Liberty label in 1970, catalogue number LBS 83348.
The gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition, I have taken photos of the front, back, spine, and the top and bottom edges for reference.
The vinyl is also in Excellent condition. I have owned this album for many many years and had a listen through again on my high end system ( Michell Gyrodek, SME arm, Dynavector cartridge with Naim amps and B & W Nautilus speakers).
The sound as you would expect from a first press is wide and dynamic. There is a small light mark on each side but these do not have any impact. There is some light crackle on the first few seconds of the into on Side Two, the album sits flat on the Turntable.
The Labels are very clean, with the Phillips manufacture credits.
The matrix numbers are A / 1 1 1 and B / 1 1 1
The original die cut poly inner is included, with the correct date of 0670 (June 1970) in the bottom right hand front corner. This is in Very Good Plus Condition.
Black Liberties are fairly common, very first pressings on Blue Liberty are not.
The record will be securely packed in a professional Record Mailer made by Covers 33 as used by most Record Mail Order companies. It will be sent within three days of receiving cleared payment.
