Hawkwind ?– X In Search Of Space
I will try my best to describe this record as honestly as possible. Photographs are included to help you assess condition and value. I accept that sometime issues like "sound quality" can be subjective so I offer a no quibble return policy if your purchase does not meet your expectations. Overseas shipping is via Ebay's GSP, it is safe and secure. If this is an issue I can ship by insured Royal Mail (but please don't ask me to falsify customs documents).
Overview: 1971 UK 1st press (variant 2). Fold out sleeve is in near mint condition, there is a micro tear (I only noticed it when taking the photographs) - it's tiny so I have highlighted it on the photo. Booklet is near mint: unusual, as it is printed on low grade newsprint. Vinyl is near mint both visually and audibly. The inner sleeve is near mint.

- This release has an innovative 8-page, 3-fold die-cut heavy card sleeve. Opened out, it forms a 'T' shape. This shape is printed black & white on inside and full-color on reverse.
When the lower page is folded up (to contain the liner) the sleeve then takes the form of a 6-page triptych - with the die-cut tab & slot linking together at the center. When locked 'closed' the liner/vinyl can still be inserted via the top opening.
The back cover has a blurred shot of Stacia dancing on-stage, with text that encapsulates the essence of the work:
"Technicians of Space Ship Earth
This is Your Captain Speaking
Your Captain is Dead"
"Printed and made by the E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford".
[The inside spread photos include members of The Pink Fairies].
The package also contains an A4, 24-page 'Log Book', packed with the minutiae of the band's 'flight' through space & time. This 'Log' is printed black on white 'newspaper-quality' paper.

The record will be posted out in a professional cruciform mailer (pizza box style) with high quality rigid corrugated card stiffeners. The disc will be removed from the outer sleeve prior to shipping. If the inner sleeve is original, I will put the disc in a generic sleeve to avoid damage to the original. The album will also be housed in a PVC protective sleeve.
