Hear 1956 Victorians Doowop on Saxony Original (I’m Rollin / Heartbreaking Mood)

 

 

 
The Victorians – “I’m Rollin” b/w “Heartbreaking Moon” (Saxony 103). Great group sound from the beginning of 1956 by this Brooklyn quintet that also had another release on Selma, and a prior release in 1953 on Tri-Boro as The Four Fellows. The good news is it is an original. The bad news is it looks like someone took poor condition of it. It plays through, but it sure doesn’t look that good. Groove wear, scuffs, surface scratches – yep, we got ‘em all. Still, beauty isn’t everything. When a M- copy sold last October for $1550 then one starting at less than two percent of that gives you a good chance to take home your own at a reasonable price. Take a listen to a little of each side. Record is in G condition.
