Hear 1966 Summer s Children Pop DJ 45 / PS Milk and Honey / Too Young to Marry
Summer’s Children – “Milk and Honey:” b/w “Too Young to Marry” (date 1508. Good spring of 1966 release by this duo (Curt Boettcher & Victoria Winston.) While together they did backup singing for various Hollywood producers (e.g. Phil Spector) and recorded two 45s as The Summer’s Children. Boettcher was a singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer from Wisconsin and a pivotal figure in what is now termed "sunshine pop", working with the Association, the Millennium, Sagittarius, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Tommy Roe, Elton John, Gene Clark, Emitt Rhodes, Tandyn Almer, the Beach Boys, and others. Both cuts are excellent pop / folk rock. Take a listen to a little of both. Record is a DJ copy in strong VG+ condition (two X’s on flip label) and sleeve is in VG+ condition.
